Whether to take a year off after school, and bowling One day my friend Jake and I were getting ready to graduate from High school and we couldn't decide whether to take a year off before going to college. So that night while we were out bowling I was telling him how that taking a year off might not be such a good idea as we could lose focus on our future and not end up going to college all together. He thought that we should relax ourselves after spending 18 years in school and take a year off to travel around and enjoy the country. I told him how we would have to have money for all that and that we should really concentrate on our future if we wanted to retire at an early age. He did not agree with me and said that it would be far more important to us to enjoy a year off. So I came up with an idea that whoever bowled the best game would do what the other says and either take a year off of school or go straight to college. As we were bowling the frames of the game were pretty close, as were both excellent bowlers, first he would get a strike and then I would follow right behind him with a strike. This went on the whole game with strike after strike, unbelievable I know, then finally in the tenth frame Jake was up and bowled two strikes and a spare, the pressure was all on me, the first ball I threw was a strike, the second ball I threw was a strike, know I had the whole going to college thing on my shoulders. I knew I could send us both on our way to college with just one more strike, but in the back of my mind I really wanted to take a year off of school, as I started to through the ball I slipped on the floor and as the ball went down the floor it was headed straight for a strike and as I closed my eyes I heard the pins fall and when I opened them all the pins where down.
