Randy's Blog

Well here it is April 19, 2010 and school is almost over for the semester. I wasn't sure how I was going to do while attending college for the first year but so far so good, I hope. I have only had to take some beginning classes to start but for not going to school for the past twenty five years I thought it would be a lot harder than it is. I guess we all, or maybe it's just me, think that something we have never done is more difficult than it really is. I have really learned a lot in the past four months in my computer class and the information that I have learned will really come in handy when I set out to further my job opportunities in the future. Learning how to use Microsoft Word 2007 has been well worth it. When I first started my classes I probably could type like ten words a minute and although I am not the fastest type I can already tell that my typing has probably doubled or more. I have never had to really do any typing or write any documents in the past jobs I have had, most of them being construction jobs, so this is all very new to me. I have never had to write an essay or do research or anything for that matter and now being in college I have started doing all of that. It is all a new experience for me and I can't wait to see where it takes me. I have truly enjoyed the experiences of blogging, I have never considered myself as a writer and to be able to sit down and jot down my thoughts for a day has been an inspiration to me. I truly have to thank my English teacher, Ms A, for all of this.
