One day after school I came into the house and I saw that there were three messages on the phone. After grabbing something to drink I played the messages as I sat on the couch the first message was some solicitor wanting me to give money, the second message was another solicitor wanting to give me a better rate on my credit cards and as I reached to delete the messages the third one was from the reader's digest telling me that I have just won ten million dollars and I froze right there in disbelief. I could not believe it until the twenty times I replayed the answering machine. I immediately started thinking of all the things I could do with that money that I have never been able to do like taking a cruise, going to Hawaii, Las Vegas, buying a new car or two, a new boat and the thoughts just kept rolling in. Then I realized that I had to wake up and be a little smarter with all that money or I would end up spending it all before I even got it. So I called my wife and told her what had happened that we just won ten million dollars and she thought I was kidding. I told her that she needed to come home right now and at that moment she knew I was not joking with her. When she got home she was so excited she was shaking like a leaf on a tree when the wind is blowing. After a while when it finally sunk in we sat down to discuss what we were going to do with all that money. We figured that we would donate ten percent of it to our church and we would invest fifty percent into some stocks and bonds and with the rest of the money we would pay off our bills and just live happily and not get crazy buying new things that we did not need.
