Spring is here
As I sit here in my rocking chair
What a wonderful time of the year
With the doors and windows propped open wide
Spring is finally on my side
No heaters on no closed up house
The breeze blows through the smell of rain
As spring is finally here to stay
Trees' sprouting leaves and blooming wild
The birds chirping as they sing aloud
I can finally tell that spring is here at last.
The wind blows through the open house
So strong and vigorous without a doubt
There's only one thing that could be said
That spring is here at last.
As the days grow longer and the nights not as cold
Old man winter has come and gone
And spring is here at last.
Long johns put away and shorts brought out
Spring is here oh spring is here at last.
Lawns are green and brown no more
Oh wonderful spring is here at last.
As the squirrels gallop around the trees
You can tell by the look as they play
That spring oh spring is here to stay.
The grass so green and growing fast
You can really tell that spring is here at last.
