Reading a book or reading a computer screen? So I was asked question that if our books at school should be obsolete and go to computerized books. I have to say that I would still rather have a book than a computer to read. Are we becoming so lazy now that we can't even turn the page of a book? I know that it would be more efficient to go technical but what is that saying to our younger generation about us. When I was growing up we had to actually go outside and play with our friends if we wanted any excitement in our lives. Now a day's all a child wants to do is get on the computer to talk with their friends and play games. I love the computer but are we getting so wrapped up in it that we can't even pick up a phone and dial it anymore. I don't even know if I could remember someone's phone number anymore as they are all on speed dial in my cell phone. The times have changed so much in the past few years that you don't even have to go buy a book anymore you can just down load one online. What is going to happen in the future when everything is technological and somehow they lose a signal for the computer and no one knows how to do something manually? The whole world would come to a complete halt. I can just see myself sitting on the bed reading a good night story to my kids from a computerized book and my battery going dead half way through the story. I love technology but I believe that sometimes you just have to have a good book to snuggle up with next to the fireplace with.

Your right about this, I lost my internet once and had none for a week. I got so much done around the house. I kinda of regret it coming back. The electric age is a good thing. But it makes you cling to your computer though.
